Uses of Packers

Packer is a tool that we use for isolating boreholes.

Isolation of boreholes is crucial and beneficial for many industries like Tunneling, Mining, Oil and Gas Industries, etc.

  1. In the Oil and Gas Industry

    1. They help isolate the annulus between the tubing/casing and the production well.

    2. They offer protection to the tubing/casing from corrosion.

    3. They help us with Well Completion Operations like fracturing, Acidizing, Cementing, etc.

  2. In Mining Industry

    1. We use them for Hydraulic fracturing.

    2. We use them for Permeability testing.

    3. We use them for Solution Minning.

  3. In Tunneling

    1. Pressurized Cement Grouting.

Quality

Our manufacturing process allows us to ensure that we give our clients a product of excellent quality. We manufacture each part of the packer keeping in mind the quality and guarantee of our products from start to finish. Every component of the packer is tested separately per batch for its mechanical and chemical properties. Once our quality officer validates it, we proceed with the assembly of the packer. All Inflatable Packers will be tested on their maximum borehole diameter and corresponding maximum pressure rating.

Major Project Involvements

  • Rishikesh-Karnaprayag Line

One of the active mega projects in India which will reduce travel time between Rishikesh and Karnaprayag from 7 hours to 2-1/2 hours.
The total span of 105kms of which 85% will be in tunnels, including India's Longest Tunnel.

  • Teesta River Dam Project

We have supplied our products to various contractors in this hydropower project, which is critical for solid foundations.

  • Chennai Metro Rail Project

Phase 1 of the Chennai Metro Rail project covers a 45.046 km network and two Corridors. About 55% of the Corridors in Phase 1 are Underground. Phase 1 Extension covers a length of 9.05 Km. Under Phase 2, GoTN has accorded approval for the implementation of three Corridors for the length of 118.9 Km.

  • Namma Metro

The Bangalore Metro Project, in this project tunnels, are bored with tunnel boring machines (TBMs), located approximately 60 feet below ground level. Phase 1 comprises two lines spanning a length of 42.30 kilometers (26.28 mi), of which about 8.82 kilometers (5.48 mi) are underground and approximately 33.48 kilometers (20.80 mi) are elevated. There are 40 stations in Phase 1, of which 7 are underground.

  • Polavaram Dam Project

This project holds two Guinness World Records- one for the ‘most concrete continuously poured in 24 hours’ and second for the ‘largest continuous concrete pour’. Designed to withstand massive floods and allows for 99.23% utilization of water with a dead storage capacity of a mere 1.5 tmc. The Spillway is set to have the highest discharge capacity in the world.

  • Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor

MAHSR is an under-construction high-speed rail line, which will connect India's economic and financial hub and Maharashtra’s capital, Mumbai, with the largest city of the state of Gujarat, Ahmedabad. When completed, it will be India's first high-speed rail line.
